I just want to express my gratitude for sharing so many sweet musical moments together.  This music community is OURS:)))  Look at what we have created together!  I am so grateful to know you and to get to hang out with your most precious gifts, your children.  I am so grateful to have such a spectacular, loving, open minded, wacky, and compassionate bunch of beings in this little music community of ours.  Please know, my heart is full...over you and your families.  Thank you for sharing your time with me.  Thank you for allowing me to witness you and all that love I see bouncing around the room.  You and your children inspire me to create and to grow.

 ummmm....this was me in college.  like, nothing has changed.  haha!  I have my music major friends singing harmonies with me...I was always bossy.  and I STILL have these beautiful friends in my life!!!!

This is little Ava and her mama, Crystal.  These two beauties are a part of my Music With Gina community and I seriously cannot imagine my life without these goddesses sharing it all with me.  I'm so grateful!  Look at her spirit!  omg.

Such a spectacular day! Thank you to the Red Oaks school!

 I started the day off with music classes with our awesome Mt. Airy Philly community.....then....

 & ended the afternoon at an extraordinary school in Morristown NJ called the Red Oaks Middle School  https://www.redoaksschool.org/.  I was invited to lead a workshop about "Community Connection through Music and Musical Performance."  I led the middle school kids on a mini songwriting exercise, we improvised with the drum,  we played Orff Instruments, we sang, and we ended up all creating lovely brand new connections with each other.  These kids will be creating their own community building workshop with the preschool crew.  Go Kids!  and Thank you so much for the invitation!!!!  Pictured are my Etown Music Therapy buds- Jennifer Lee Knittel (their Preschool Music Teacher & Music Therapist)  and Tim Waters (Middle School Music Teacher).

No Class Saturday 10/7 and more stuff and feelings

Hi Friends,

I'm so sorry to cancel class tomorrow morning but we are attending a funeral.  Our beloved "Pepe" passed away (my step/father in law).  2 days before he died, I got to sing to him at his bedside.  I'll never forget it.  He looked right into my eyes and nodded and his eyes said everything to me.  He gave me strength to sing and cry and say goodbye.  Pepe sang a little with me to a song I sing so often in class- "don't worry about a thing...cause every little thing is gonna be alright."  I feel so grateful to have had such a beautiful goodbye to our lovable Pepe.  

Man, life is so humbling.  Stay in your pj's tomorrow morning- I'm hoping y'all get this message and aren't pulling at the red door to get into music class.  I can't wait to see you at class next week- Monday (Roxborough 10am), Tuesday (Mt. Airy 9:30am 10:30am), Wednesday (Wyndmoor 9:30am), and next Saturday morning (Wyndmoor 10am).  Please give your little cuties a hug for me, and one for you.

On a totally different note- because sometimes everything happens at once- good/bad/thrilling/boring/joyful/bittersweet...you get the point.

I've gotten such incredible feedback from YOU, that my new CD, "Cardinal Cardinal" has brought you dance parties in your kitchen, has helped quiet down your little ones in the car, has provided regularly rotated songs you sing to them before they fall asleep, that um, you, have been known to cruise around listening to my music sans kids, and more....!!!  That's SO awesome.  I am so moved.  Just this week, a mommy stopped her car in the middle of the street when she saw me- and she was playing my CD!  She said "it's the only thing that keeps him relaxed in the car!!"  omg.  I, literally, float around on these moments.  I savor them.  I'm so grateful.  I feel like when you play this music- I get to be with you!!!!  We are so connected.  I love it!!!!

So, I just wanted to say, I'm singing and dancing right there with you.

Hi everyone!

This is such a time of transitions!!!!  You are all on my mind.  For the first time, all three of my children will be in school :)  It always seemed so far away- and yet- I'm attempting to flow into this next phase with joy and grace and gratitude.  I am prepared to bring along a half a box of tissues at the bus stop tomorrow.  I embrace that too!  We are all doing our best and we need to hold each other up.  What an emotional role it is to be a parent.  I know, for certain, you and I feel the same:))))  I'll be thinking of you all this week.  I see us all waving goodbye as the bus pulls away, or watching those little bodies bounce down the driveway and into their school.  We want all the best possibilities for them.  It almost hurts.

I'm gonna surround all of our children with lots of love and light and humility as they make their transition into the new school year.  And let's surround each other with tons of compassion as WE do a little more letting go.

And our Music Classes are HERE for you and those little ones still at your side each day!  It's a safe place to dance and be silly and just have fun.  Just show up however you are.  We will take care of you!  I can't wait to see you!

Such a Fun Narberth Show with YOU!!
